On May 26, The French Ministry of Culture presented the Order of Arts and Letters (Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres) to Daniel Mayran, the founder and chairman of Luxury Business Group.
The Order has three grades: Commandeur(Commander), Officier(Officer), and Chevalier(Knight). The recipient must have significant contribution to the enrichment of the French and global cultural heritage in order to be recognized. In this sense, these are typically awarded to those who work in the arts or cultural fields.
Daniel Mayran has been passionately implementing Mecenat initiatives to publicize cultural and artistic activities in both Korea and France ever since he first arrived in Korea in 2002 to work as CEO of Bluebell Korea. Additionally,he was acknowledged to receive this medal, which is quite uncommon for an entrepreneur, in recognition of his contribution to the founding of the Luxury Business Group(LBG), which is leading development in human resources and training in the luxury sector.
Daniel Mayran frequently remarked, “True luxury is not just about selling expensive goods but rather a series of integrated unique experiences followed by sophistication and delicacy. Therefore, Storytelling, art, and cultural elements are essential to the competitiveness and sustainability of a brand.” as he has consistently emphasized the value of art and culture.
