Sihanoukville, Cambodia – March 25, 2025 – Peninsula Bay, Cambodia’s most ambitious mixed-use development, today announced landmark partnerships with IHG Hotels & Resorts (IHG) and Luxury Business Group (LBG), signaling a bold leap forward for Sihanoukville’s emergence as a regional tourism and lifestyle hub.  

IHG Hotels & Resorts—a global hospitality leader with over 6,600 properties across 111 countries—will debut its first InterContinental-branded hotel in Cambodia at Peninsula Bay. The 300-room luxury hotel will feature signature dining venues, bespoke bars, a world-class spa, and unparalleled coastal views, redefining hospitality standards in Sihanoukville. This marks InterContinental’s return to Cambodia, underscoring the nation’s growing appeal as a luxury travel destination.

Joining the project is Luxury Business Group (LBG), a global consulting firm specializing in the luxury and retail industries. LBG will helm Peninsula Bay’s luxury shopping precinct, introducing an array of coveted international brands to Cambodia for the first time. This collaboration promises to establish Sihanoukville as a new nexus for high-end retail in Southeast Asia.

Ø  An international retail center anchored by LBG’s premium offerings.  

Ø  A water theme park and the world’s largest curved seawater aquarium, designed in partnership with global experts Pico Play and ICM, a leading firm with design, engineering, and operations expertise in aquariums and themed attractions. The aquarium, a Guinness World Record contender, will showcase Cambodia’s marine biodiversity through immersive exhibits.  


Over USD 40 million has been allocated to the theme park and aquarium, reflecting Peninsula Bay’s commitment to cutting-edge entertainment and sustainable tourism.
